Friday saw the inaugural lecture given by Jean Belin, lecturer in economics at Bordeaux 4 University and holder of the Economics of Defence Chair, in the Foch Amphitheatre. Lt-Gen Duquesne, Director of the IHEDN and the EMS, Guy RUPIED, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cercle des partenaires de l'IHDEN, and Professor Christian de BOISSIEU, Professor of Economics at Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne, spoke before the holder of the Chair.
IGA Robert RANQUET, Deputy Director of the IHEDN, along with Christian de BOISSIEU and Jean BELIN, answered questions from the audience at the end of the lesson.
Auditors from the IHEDN's national sessions, as well as representatives of sponsoring companies, the Ministry of Defence and many other guests attended.
