In particular, it relies on <strong>direct exchanges between participants, military personnel and public service professionals<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p>The programme takes place over four days, with welcome in<strong> full board<\/strong> After <strong>conferences<\/strong> introductory course at the \u00c9cole Militaire (Paris 7e), the session alternates between <strong>immersion visits<\/strong> a <strong>military unit<\/strong> and <strong>sites representative of the SNCF's security business<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p>The aim is to encourage <strong>collective, decompartmentalised thinking<\/strong> on the <strong>security-defence continuum<\/strong> and the\u2019<strong>spirit of defence<\/strong>, around specific topics.<\/p>\r\n<p>The participants' conclusions were presented at the closing session, in the presence of authorities from the SNCF and the IHEDN.<\/p>\r\n<p>The course ends with the <strong>issue of a certificate<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Le 13<sup>e<\/sup> The \u00abSecurity and Defence Continuum\u00bb cycle took place from Tuesday 31 March to Friday 3 April 2026.<\/h2>\r\n<p>The <strong>30 participants<\/strong> for the 2026 session, all students and most of them apprentices, were selected from around a hundred applications.<\/p>\r\n<p>In particular, they have :<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>To exchange ideas with high-level speakers at the <strong>conferences<\/strong> :\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Defence and national security: the challenges of our time<\/li>\r\n<li>The SNCF and defence and security issues<\/li>\r\n<li>The railway: a major player in military mobility in Europe\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>Visited on <strong>121st train regiment <\/strong>(Montlh\u00e9ry, 91), the\u2019<strong>SNCF Safety University <\/strong>(Ermont, 95) and the <strong>National Rail Safety Centre<\/strong> (Paris).<\/li>\r\n<li>Conducted an in-depth review within <strong>three committees<\/strong>, The conference was attended by authorities from the SNCF and the IHEDN, as well as the heads of some of the university courses represented.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>The trainees made recommendations on the following themes, before exchanging views with the audience:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>COMMITTEE 1 : <strong>Industrial sovereignty and strategic autonomy: railways<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li>COMMITTEE 2 : <strong>Protecting rail infrastructure: towards a common defence and security doctrine?<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li>COMMITTEE 3 : <strong>Cybersecurity and resilience of rail infrastructures to hybrid threats<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>The <strong>training attendance certificates<\/strong> were then presented to them in the Salon des Mar\u00e9chaux, at the \u00c9cole Militaire, by the Engineer General of Armaments Caroline SALAHUN, Head of the National Session Department of the IHEDN, and by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/xavier-roche-b3744220\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Xavier ROCHE<\/a><\/strong>, Director of Security for the SNCF Group.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<figure
