<\/p>\nSponsored by Renault Trucks Defense, Sofema and Spema, a \u00abNational Cohesion and Citizenship\u00bb day was organised on 16 November in Ch\u00e2teauroux, in partnership with the regional association IHEDN - Centre (AR7) and with the support of Ch\u00e2teauroux M\u00e9tropole, the department, the prefecture and the Indre CCI.<\/p>\n
On the theme of \u00abThe Nation, a landmark for young people\u00bb, the event brought together around 80 people (association executives, teachers and school heads, city and local authority policy executives, local councillors, military personnel, etc.) around Gil Av\u00e9rous, President of Ch\u00e2teauroux M\u00e9tropole and Mayor of Ch\u00e2teauroux, Serge Descout, President of the Indre d\u00e9partement, and Lieutenant General Bernard de Courr\u00e8ges d'Ustou, Director of the IHEDN.<\/p>\n
The morning included two lectures and debates:<\/p>\n
- What is national cohesion? What is citizenship?\u00ab, by Admiral Fran\u00e7ois Dupont, Former Director of the IHEDN, who was behind the creation of the National Cohesion and Citizenship seminars in 2006, and R\u00e9da Didi, Founder and General Delegate of the Graines de France think tank; ;<\/p>\n

- Presentation of schemes dedicated to young people, by Patricia Danguy, Deputy Director of Social Cohesion at the DDCSPP36, Muriel Grosellier, Head of the Education Department at Epide in Bourges, and David Kwasniewski, Head of the National Service Centre (CSN) in Orl\u00e9ans.<\/p>\n

The afternoon was devoted to a visit to the 12e<\/sup> Equipment Support Base (12th BSMAT) at Neuvy-Pailloux, where the closing ceremony took place.
